Method

I began with  and MDF wreath, which I painted with white gesso, all over both sides, and all edges.

Next step was to stencil a little colour onto the MDF,

just in case any areas remained exposed at the end, using the “Treescape Stencil”, distress inks and

of course the Clarity brushes.

Then I stamped with Brown archival the “naked tree” onto brown card and craft card.

When I cut out the trees, the ones on craft card were more rigid, so I only used them.

I then stamped the 3 sizes of “Maple leaves” with the inks below varying the combination of inks.

I cut out the leaves and edged them all with aged mahogany on a piece of cut and dry foam.

One beautiful “NDC” Robin stamped 3 times with momento ink and coloured with

promarkers.

I then cut only the wing from one and the head and breast from the other and decoupaged them onto the 3rd image, for more depth. I would have added another picture to show you the dimension of the robin, but my son as soon as it was dry brought the wreath to his girlfriend.

I then stamped the sentiment “Season of Mists” onto a piece

of soft gold card and tore the edges.

Next I used a mixture of the distress inks again on the edges to tone it into the colours used in the project.

A little pinflair glue and everything was layered in place and it’s complete.

Bye for now.
